Who you are

You will be enthusiastic about working with others in a team and have the ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Your personal values reflect those of IKEA, and you have a true passion for home furnishings and customer service.

As our store trades 7 days a week you will you are required to be available to work a mix of day and evening shifts as well as have availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends, both Saturday & Sunday. For Logistics roles, you may be required to work evenings and overnight hours.

The base hourly rate starts from $24.93 per hour. Plus penalty rates for evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Your responsibilities

We are looking for co-workers in the following areas:

  • IKEA Food – Enthusiastic, passionate about food and retail, and love connecting with others, you will be responsible for cash handling, customer service, maintaining the customer restaurant and/or Swedish Food Market, or preparing and serving meals to our hungry customers (majority of our positions are in IKEA Food).
  • IKEA Food Dishwash - enthusiastic, passionate about food and retail. Able to work in fast paced environment. Attention to detail, manual handling with repetitive tasks, autonomous work, enjoys working back of house to support the front house team.
  • Sales - Combine your positive attitude and exceptional customer service to provide product advice and memorable in-store experiences to our customers.
  • Logistics - select, pack and dispatch orders. Work in a fast paced environment, ensuring high standards of selection and presentation are met every time to delight our customers when their purchases arrive for collection in store via Click & Collect. You may also help re-stock our shelves to ensure that our customers can find their next home furnishing purchase.
  • Customer Service – the friendly face of IKEA, you may be greeting our customers at the store entry, helping customers with returns or home delivery, or servicing customers at our checkouts.

All roles are fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring manual handling and you will be on your feet all day.
